[Acidcabaret-announce] Burning Man!

Partyball and the Mrs and Ms. Annie "I'm not going to burning man" Lameass have been convinced that they should go to Burning Man and will in fact be in the hizzle. Along for the ride will be Malcolm "Bad Clown" Dunne and AJ "Smash" Johnson (Church of Funk). Please let God help us get through this storm and back to salvation. Scary AND exciting.

Please come say hello near the deFUNKed posse` (remnants of Funk Camp) within The Fandango Village @ 6:30 and Earth.

There are rumors of a rogue Acid Cabaret way out at 2:00 and ? way in the back and out of the way but we will believe it when we see it. There is a reason we haven't built a Cabaret out there in a few years... it's a bitch of a hard time bringing a piano to the desert, building an ASS CAB shack and making it loungy enough to convince people to stay and see the show. Look for it and us, apparently Speed Levitch and Dave Umlas (Facility 3) are behind the franchise that we whole-heartedly endorse.

We want to see you all! Let's rock and roll.

PS. You had better have October 29th marked off on your calendar! You are ours for the night! Get your outlandish acts together because this could be the last one for a very, very long time if not forever.

"Oakland's sleek, co-ed threesome the Lovemakers join forces with
San Francisco's ethereal five-piece Film School for an evening of
synth-pop and indie rock. The Lovemakers, who recently signed to
Interscope Records, unabashedly seduce, convulse, and make out on
stage, pouring on the sex and suggestion with their come-ons and
tightly structured pop music. But where their approach is coolly
explicit, Film School's is modestly implicit -the group's haunting,
subtle melodies reveal themselves far more slowly and self-
consciously. Fall in love with them both in a single night."

"Essentially a throwback to the indie pop/rock bands of the mid-
'90s ( àla Poster Children), THE SILVERSUN PICKUPS tossed off an
inspired set of bummed-out anthems, each filled with inventive
progressions, blustery vocals and subtle, almost angular guitar
solos. "

The Acid Cabaret is the notorious and deep underground, pro/am, survival of the fittest live and on screen mayhem dedicated to freedom of speech and the politically incorrect. Hosted by the mercurial Partyball, a one-man lysergic/Jack Daniels collision fiasco, The Acid Cabaret, cuts across all performance disciplines and incorporates elements of the sublime, ridiculous, starkly beautiful, supremely talented and horrifically abject.

The Acid Cabaret disclaimer states in plain and intelligible writing that this type of event is probably not for the faint at heart or the politically correct.

Please forward this to anyone you think might be interested.
